Boston Wine Expo 2001 -
DeLoach Winery and Firemen
We first tried first is their 1999 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, which is their value offering at $20. Pinots are typically higher priced than other similar wines because of the work involved in growing and producing a good pinot noir. This one was fruity and fresh, very easy drinking.
The 1998 barrel fermented is their higher end offering at $30. This was a much richer, more full flavor, definitely a noticeable difference from the Russian River Valley.
DeLoach is located just north of San Francisco, and has been making wine since 1975.
