Lamb and Wine - Wine Food Pairings

On one hand, I think lambs are VERY cute and go out to the local farms each spring to watch them play. But on the other hand, lamb is quite tasty! I suppose every creature has a purpose in life and maybe some living things are meant to be tasty. I think my tiny tomatoes are very cute on the vine too, and I end up eating them as well.

Lamb and pinot noir are the classic pairing, because lamb has a gentle flavor that goes well with the soft berry flavors of pinot noir. Burgundy is the pinot noir made in France. If your lamb recipe involves a heavy amount of spice or sauce, try moving up to Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon.
