Definitely when you look at the size of the Mayflower for example people who rode on that boat were much shorter than we are now! Much of it had to do with poor nutrition. Apparently the average man on the Mayflower was 5'6". Nowadays the average man is over 5'9". That's a big change in only a short period of time.
