Well, I can get my bird to stay on my shoulder but it always gets distracted by something else and goes there, I want it to stay on my shoulder.

Can Bird fly? Kacey's wings are clipped, so she really has nowhere to go from my shoulder. But she enjoys sitting there smile But if Bird can fly, there's nothing to restrict him from going and doing what he wants to do. Like Erica said, try treats smile

Wear earings, especially shiny ones. I am sure they will stay on your shoulder and nibble your earings, if not also your ear lobes smile

if you all are still wondering, i got my baby keet to stay on my shoulder, and now i can hardly get it off, the trick i used was i put my hair down and a bit of millet on my shoulder, and since my baby is a porker, he munched it right up and then went exploring around my hair, and with the earings, that a good idea too, to occupy and make it cozy, Bastet (my baby) also likes to nibble on a bead necklace that i like to wear, and since your shoulder and neck go together, that should be plent of insentive for the bird to stay on your shoulder

Hmm, a earing that has treats in it, that would be a great invention, lol. Too bad I don't want any, maybe I can just wear some shirt the bird likes to chew on smile

Lisa, on your site you have a page talking about the different sounds a keet makes. well, sometimes kyoko makes a sound that sounds like a squeaky dog toy (someone else used that same analogy, but i dont remember who!) What does it mean? is he tired or something? i was also thinking he was trying to imitate my whistles (i whistle at him more than i talk). Any ideas?

thanks!
