Well my Mom was a huge Beatles fan and I love the Beatles! My Dad liked country music and I love Emmylou, Dolly and Loretta so I think I have embraced both of their musical loves.

I had dvr'ed a show on classic Grand Old Opry performances. It was fantastic! Willie Nelson, Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, Jim Reeves, Tammie Wynette. All of the "old" greats. That is the country music I love..not this modern junk. I generally like older music and always have. Even in high school I was an oddball listening to Linda Ronstadt and Judy Collins.

When I met my husband he really liked Linda Ronstadt.

And my Grandad loved Jim Reeves. I recently bought his 'Gentleman Jim' album.

I think I've got Tammie Wynette's 'Stand by your Man'.

I like Dolly Parton. She was great in '9-5'.

The Beatles were huge, of course, when I was younger. And I did like some of their music. I saw them on TV the first time they sang 'She Loves You'. Yet I was never really bothered about them. I loved the Dave Clarke Five when I was little.

I grew up on my dads music... 60-70 rock and roll. Led zep,pink floyd,Doors,CCR,Crosby Stills & Nash, Almond Brothers, Yes, Who, Little Feet,Simon and Garfunkle (and yes I actually like Sticks).....on and on..I also love The Greatful dead, Rusted Root, Indigo girls,Mediski Martin and Wood, Dave Grismond Quintet..anything blue grass.. I also like funk Jazz and some blues. Due to my husbands influence I have learned to appriciate and even like hard core music like Rob Zombie, tool,God smack, fuel,...exct.... I do not get into either country or rap.

Hi Cam - you make me feel old! My husband's favourite band when I met him was Led Zeppelin. There's a tribute band here called Fred Zeppelin. He went to see them a while ago.

My favourite band was U2... I still like them but have to admit to not keeping up with them in recent years.

I have a very broad range of music that I love but my favourite era is the late 60's and early 70's.

What I don't like are techno, rap, hip hop. I have to admit to liking 2 rap songs though.. Gangsters Paradise and Rockefeller Skank by Fat Boy Slim. I'm sure I have that wrong.. names and spelling.. lol. Showing my age I guess.

The 70s were great, music-wise, not necessarity in the sense of 'great music', but for the atmosphere - the feeling that music should be fun. I just loved Slade! They were a relatively local band and all our friends were big fans.

I also loved David Essex and David Cassidy - as did most teenage girls.

Didn't everyone love Elvis - indeed, don't they still?

I live in TN and I want to go to Memphis to see Graceland. I have heard it is extremely tacky on the inside
