Oh my, dont get me started on music! I could go on for days about the subject! But for now I can say that I have been to over 150 concerts so far in my life and proclaim listening to live music (of any sort) to be one of the most enjoyable experiences to be had by humans! More later!
Well, actually I like opera without the singing...that makes it Classical doesn't it! I have been to a couple of classical symphonies that have made me cry the music is so beautiful.
PS. Blaze...Kazuki is absolutely adorable. Love the name too!

How wonderful that you play so many instruments! You will never be sorry you learned to read music and play a variety of instruments. I hear it's supposed to help with math too. What do you think about that notion?
My youngest son Brandon (15) plays the clarinet, guitar, drums and saxophone. I sure enjoy his school concerts or when he lets me listen to him at home....which isn't often.

My three children play instruments. I don't know where they get it from because I was never particularly keen to follow up an instrument. I learned the recorder at school and can play the basics of 'Doe a deer' on the piano. I can play a tiny bit by ear - which is good - but I can't seem to get past that.
My kids are artistic, too, and I'm not. It's funny, because art & music are all through my family - they just by-passed me.
I've heard of the link between music & maths.
Drumming is supposed to be particularly good for those with dyslexia-type difficulties.

Yeah... well I had to have a tutor for a year in math, but now i am very good at it... the drums are some of the easiest to learn to learn and one of the hardest to play after I while... well I guess that goes for any instrument... practice, practice, practice.
