brilliant! says a lot, doesn't it.
i don't know much of seurat's paintings, but i know he pretty much invented pointillism. i really like his 'sunday afternoon' and 'bathers' paintings. (excuse the lazy translations). i can't think of any other artists using pointillism though.
i quite like some (only some) surrealism. Rene Magritte's 'the great war' has an x factor to it (the guy in the suite with an apple in front of his face).
