Who remembers Johnny Rivers? what about Johnny Horton? Sink the Bismark, battle of new Orleans, Etc
I remember both of these--in fact really stretching my brain cells here--I think The Battle of New Orleans was the first song I remember hearing on a car radio and really liking--I talked my Mom into buying the 45 and played it to death--It just disappeared one day(I never asked--but I think my Dad was so sick of hearing it--he threw it away.)LOL
Cherokee Moon--I am so sorry--that song is insidious-perhaps a terrorist plot-it just plays over and over and over and over.

Vince, in karaoke (and before I met Marge, in piano bars), I sing the slow Johnny Horton songs - "All For the Love of a Girl," "Whispering Pines," and "The Mansion You Stole."
