is younger birds still well pinkish redish under their feathers?? i noticed to color around the tailfeather area and everywhere else....and is it a bad thing that poop gets stuck to the feathers around the vent??
if anyone suggets a vet i wont be able because we dont have the money i'm very scared.....
Yes, it is bad when the poop gets stuck to the rear, I have read that it can iccumulate there and block the opening. Carefully put him in a bath with warm (not hot) water and try to remove it yourself. My second bird was doing this for a while i did this for him and then I ordered some natural herb medications and it is now stopped. Actually a vet should see him.
well i try to get her to take a bath but my birds are very scared of me, and the poop that are stuck to the feathers always fall off after a few mins, but i cant take her to a vet, my mom doesnt have the money (im only 16 and i couldnt get a job this summer) i just dont think i can care for birds if i just dont have the money to take care of them
Maybe you can call a couple avian vets and explain your situation, some are affiliated with organizations that may help you out with the bill. I just know that by reading up on the subject that it is something that needs a vets attention if it keeps going on.
Maybe you can get a grandparent or relative to help you also. Or do some kind of yard work for the elderly to earn the money?
we already had a pet problem and STILL paying the bill after 5 months ago....and my grandparents ignore me, and there is no exactly yard around an apartment complexes..that is all that is around st. pete fl
i know you are trying to help me but i just dont know what to do, i guess i'll just clean the poop off her feathers, its the best i could do, for a poor person
