on Monday, during the worst of the storm. The wind was clocked at 105mph in Homestead (which is 40 miles s. of Miami and 120 N of Key West.) The birds stayed in the closet during the whole thing. Our home did not suffer any damage, but there is a lot of damage to trees,plants etc. All my animals did fine, as soon as the rain stopped the cats wanted out the wind did not bother them at all. One good thing Wilma drug a coldfront behind her so we have not had to contend with the heat with no a/c. It's been a great 70-75'in the day time and high 50's at night. well i've got my grandparents up here from ft. lauderdale, they still have no elecric

and form what they are saying, it may be until Nov 15 until everyone in Ft. Lauderdalle/Broward County has their power back. They took the worst hit and was closest to the eye, which was very big. It was a fast mover and for that we are all grateful. It's like the snow, blizzards, earthquakes that other places have, you jus tlearn to live with and get through it.

It has been quiet around here while you have been offline, so you really haven't missed too much.

I bought a second cage on eBAY for Gebo to travel in if I decide to take him with in April.

Jloc and I both got our samples from Roudybush! Very generous bags of pellets for us to try along with some very informative literature.

Thanks guys, it's good to be back to a relatively normal state. Walmart is back open so things are returning to normal. The pics I took were if the area right in front of my house. I would not venture out to far, there were NO traffic lights and a bunch of angry people. Today GAS is the big thing. I filled up the day after the hurricane with no problem, I don't quite understand what the problem is now, but everyone is sure paniced over it. We have plenty of gas, the problem is not all of them have the electricity to pump it. We have a o****y wide curfew of 7:a.m. to 8:p.m.
I thought of you all a lot and missed talking with you.

So very happy that everything went as well as it could have. The damage still looks bad though. Rick is right, things just aren't the same unless we see your name at the top of the screen.
My son got home safe and sound too. As soon as they didn't know the ifs, ands and buts of the hurricane they sent all the baseball players home. Last year he had to hunker down through the hurricane that came through vero. I am so glad you and your pets are okay.
