people generally tend to have their own style right?
why is it that some of us are not allowed to be different?
and if we ARE different and jsut don't care what others think, how do we survive knowing we are unexcepted?
and even though we SAY we dont care we all know that at some point we really do.
i need some advcie can anyone help me out?

Guess what I really don't care but then again I'm probably a lot older than you. I know I was not always like this. But watched a really good show on Oprah yesterday had a singer on by the name of Pink and she said smart girls are themselves and don't try to be like others. I guess so long as your not hurting yourself and not going way out there for shock value then be yourself and be proud of who you are.

i am completly myself and even though i may have lost a friend because of it or been made fun of, i don't change who i am for some one else.

"To Thine Own Self be true" if I could give teenagers one piece of advice this is it. Life is a series of hello's and goodbyes, comings and goings. In the end you are always left with yourself. I've always been "different" in one way or another and I did a lot of crazy self destructive things in trying to be like "everybody else" it took a lot of years and a lot of pain for me to accept that I was fine just the way I am. I'm way past the age of caring what anybody thinks of me or what I do/don't do, but I remember the angst of trying to fit where I didn't fit. It's our differences that makes us unique, embrace them, love those qualities you have that others may not. Do not look for approval
of who you are from people that don't know who they are. You're not here to please others, we were created to please God and keep Him company. Find your passion and go for it. DOn't be deterred from reaching your highest point.
PS. I like Pink, her music and her message. Don't be a carbon copy of someone else that is just being a carbon copy of.....

You are young and I can sympathise with your situation. As you get older, you'll see that life isn't high school, and most people don't care if you are different or not.

Great people forge their own path in life, while the mediocre simply follow others. Forging your own path is more stressful and difficult than following the herd, but you'll get the swing of it, even if it doesn't feel that way right now. In the long run, you'll be happy you lived your life the way you wanted to live it.

Want another quote? "wherever you go, there you are" It a good one, you can get away from other people but you can't get away from yourself, so make sure you can stand you. that's most important. No matter what you'll find people you click with, and if you're yourself the people you find will most likely be real people too. In high school I never had a lot of friends 'cause i was a little out there, but the friends I had were truly great people who I don't think I would have found had I pretended to be someone else.

Try to ignore your surroundings as less ignorantly as possible. and just remember that just because someone is gawking doesn't mean it's bad. they may want to pay you a compliment. always remember to smile. it usually helps if you are a nice person. i've got more if your still having problems! maybe you were made for bigger places.
