Im in 8th grad. And at the end of the year we have this dance. I want to go with this one kid at my school, he just came to school about 3 weeks ago because he is new. I want to ask him, but I can't. I mean we haven't talkeed alot and like the most I hav eever said to him was hey. What should i do i don't want someone else to ask him, but i just can't. Oh and I forgot to write..that I like one other person too. The person I talk to the most got asked by my other friend, but he doesn't know if he is going. And I dont want to ask him because my best friend asked him.

Well I think you should just ask him to the dance.. Even if he says no at least you took a chance... If and when you ask him don't make it seem like a date... Let it be more like two friends hanging out so you can get to know each other better...

write him a note, that way if he doesn't answer you will know, and if he does then you'll know too. A note saves you both from discomfort of having to answer f2f that minute.

Yes, I asked a guy to my prom and I would have kicked myself if I hadn't. I agree that writing a note is a good way to do it. Do it NOW before someone else asks him!
