The females usually wont breed if the materials they need is not supplied to them but it has been known to happen. I have 7 keets with both male and female and so far they have not tried and hopefully they will keep it that way lol.

Noel: yeah...that's true, but it deff can and WILL happen if the time is right, so the best thing to do is to keep all the males and females in SEPERATE cages...if u don't want any breeding that is! I obviously have experience w/ breeding....just read my all about breeding parakeets post! =]

it's not that she won't like you anymore...just while she's in the breeding process she will be VERY protective and NOT like herself. Typical mother. =]
After she's done, she will prob. will return to her old self, but she may require some more training again. =]

Mine is 17Wx17Dx20H It seems pretty big too! My keet has so much room, and a few perches to sit on. We often let him out for a few minutes to fly around.
