that was very helpful, but I have a question. Nouba is only... 10 months old Darcy is over a year, they have no nesting box and I have read in many other places that a single pair with no nesting box typically doesnt breed because theres nothing around to get them 'in the mood' (other breeding pairs and whatnot) But now since Nouba went nuts and ate an entire mineral block and cuttle bone in about 4 days im worried quite frankly. I've been reading up everywhere just to be aware of what to do if they do mate and lay eggs and I have plenty of money saved up that could be used for emergency vet (although im sure my parents would rather I spent it one food, gas, rent, and bills) but, if they do lay eggs and I obviously dont have enough time to care for eggs how soon can I remove them? can I replace them with any white marbles or do they hve to be the special egg ones? Is it possible to remove all but one egg? or will it stress the birds out that only one baby hatched? I wont have money for a larger cage till after graduation (end of may) at which time I was intending on getting 2 more keets... I was under the impression that it would be best for me to get two more males and a larger cage and put them all in a large cage. However, is it better to get a male and a female and separate the sexes? I think that would stress Nouba and Darcy a lot, they call for each other when I take them across the room one at a time to get to the play gym, i dont think they'd take to being separated and Noubas sort of violent and I wouldnt want to unleash that on another keet. so.. any answers would be helpful lol, sorry I'm so full of questions I just thought I had the answers and now I'm questioning myself

heathe: if they end up laying eggs, replace them ONE AT A TIME PER DAY with any white marble. doesn't have to be special! =] you can replace all but one if you want. =] but it's prob. best to just replace all of them. If you're getting more, get males, and if you can, just leave nouba and darcy together, and the rest seperate, so those males won't be temped to breed. sunny's mommy: if you would, post a REALLY big and clear pic of both of their ceres =] and how old they are too. thank you!
