PDM....again, I believe the bible. The bible speaks against homosexuality. The bible says its a sin. I did not come up with that. I just know what I believe. Again, I believe it is a sin just like any other sin. I don't hold homosexuals more accountable or more sinful than anyone else.
a) you do find homosexuals sinful b) The Bible in the Old Covenant says it is a sin. c) The Bible also says eating pork is a sin. d) You believe that Jesus is the New Covenant, allowing you not to follow the Mosaic law. e) Jesus nowhere condems homosexuals as sinful. f) You're making this up as you go, choosing which parts of the Bible to follow and which parts to ignore as it suits your purpose.

PDM....as I stated before, perhaps you missed it, I don't believe homosexuality is something one is "born" with. I believe it is a life style choice. That being the case, I consider it a sin. Again, my opinion, my belief. You are entitled to yours.
Blessings,
LL
No, I didn't miss it; I said that this was wrong. I don't think it is a matter of opinion, in this case we are not debating issues, we are talking facts. Homosexuals are born as they are. They do not choose to be as they are. It may be a matter of opinion whether or not homosexuality is sinful ~ that's another matter. Personally I cannot consider anything that is natural and harmless to be a sin, and I find it very offensive when I hear other people make such statements. It's akin to condemning someone for the colour of their hair or skin or eyes. To me, that is the sin. You agree that Jesus did not condemn homosexuality. Why do you condemn it?

I believe homosexuality is a lifestyle choice just like smoking, alcoholism, adultery, substance abuse, pornography, etc. What proof do you have it isn't? Would it be the same "scientific proof" that tells you the bible cannot be true? At no time did I say Jesus did not condemn homosexuality. I said he did not address it. He did not address alot of issues. I don't consider homosexuality more sinful than any other sin.
These topics are subject to interpretation by each one of us. None of us have definitive proof that anything we state is true. We only have what we believe and our opinions.
We're not looking for proof here. We're looking for scriptural reference. You "say" you follow Jesus, but you have no trouble creating "sin" where you want to see it. So you are really are making up your faith as you go. Some parts of the bible you adhere to, some you ignore, as it suits your purpose. As to whether there is proof of the addiction of alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, you need look no further than your own home. Is your son's drug habit a choice? Would anyone, knowing what they know about it, choose to live like that? Choice is gone when addiction begins. That's called science. I know you don't believe in it, but proof is there if you look to something other than your bible for guidance once in a while. You said your son beat drugs once. My father beat drugs too and he's been clean for nearly 20 years. Your son hasn't -- yet. But don't keep denying the fact that his addiction isn't a choice any more.
