is that bear in your yard???????????????????? lol and as far as hawks and stuff like that your babies should be fine as long as there in a cage with the doors tied shut, maybe evan keep them under a awning if you have one (sp) lol and keep your eyes out for the bears lol i really dont think they would try to eat the birds because black bears are more veggie and berries eaters than they are meat. i mean they will eat meat but they prefer veggies and berrys leafy things. but just to be safe watch them veryyyyyy closely and bread tie all the doors.

i also noticed the deer in the middle of the pic has his ear tagged!

yes the deer is prob tagged,they have pretected grounds here where you can not shoot taged deer..as for gentle ben there yeah he was about 2000 feet from me down in the valley. we see them every morning if we go down by the river.back to the deer,there was a guy this past winter who got caught killing a tagged deer and ended up paying 25000,00 fine and a year in jail. we also see the bucks in the evening but they do not come that close to get a shot of them

if you look at where he is laying you can tell where the water comes up when we have more rain...were about 8 inches short for the year so far and its not even close to fall yet grrrr. yeah the bear love the berries and leafy greens and fish...its amazing to sit and watch them in the evenings when they go down to get a nice trout for dinner most of the time they just look at you and go right back to what there doing..black bears almost never attack unless seriously provoked. we have even tossed them bread and such getting as close as maybe 30 feet from them.

no its in the valley down from me but yes i can see the cliffs to the valley from my yard. we have had the bear in the garbage cans at night. oh yeah i forgot you was from NC lol so you know about the tagged deer laws here. there on open land but if they are tagged you DO NOT SHOOT THEM or your in deep....budgie poo...

I don't take my birds out in a cage. We live in the subs so I don't know of any dangerous animals around here.
