He ate from my finger tips again! I'm so excited and he was singing all day too! He's pretty brave for a little guy. So far since I've had him (since Sunday), he hasn't freaked out with my hand in the cage. He even comes to the end of the cage to see whats going on outside.

Thanks Big Momma for the tip about the mirror! I will remove it and see if that speeds up the process of bonding.

He is the most beautiful blue I have ever seen. I have been looking all over to web for a name to express his coloring and I found this picture!



Which is an aster flower...I thought that would be a cute and unusual name to have...so Aster it is...I will roll it around my mouth for awhile, but I think it's going to stick...what do you think?

Also, I am trying the step up method and it hasn't work yet, but he let me pet his belly! He just stayed there and preened himself and poked my finger with his beak, but he never moved away from me and my hand.

Congratz on your new bird! S/he is SO CUTEEE! It looks like it's posing for the camera and s/he looks very comb and she doesn't look scared so keep up the great work! After a while she will bond with you and let you hold your finger out and she will sit on your finger or shoulder. Sometimes on your head! lol!
