Right you are Carl. That is what I meant as well. I guess I still need to explain better....this makes at least the third attempt and I according to victors and my calculations, I have at least 17 more attempts.
I have a problem with what some people pray out loud because they may be divulging confidential information that has been given to them not to pass on but to pray. This is why when someone asks me to pray for them, I ususally do not relay the information in a large group out loud. I usually just state that God is aware of the situation, need, etc rather than go into details about what the situation is. I always remember when I first became a believer and people would pray for "sister so and so who is in an illicit affair" I would be shocked, you get my point (I hope).
Blessings,
Emilie
Yes, I'm with you and Carl on this one.
By 'being good and kind' and praying righteously for a poor sinner, what they are actually doing is showing that person up, spreading gossip and making out that they are superior ~ all in the name of being a good Christian.
I've seen and experienced that kind of Christian too ~ they have caused a lot of distress, supposedly in the name of Jesus. Yet they think that they are so good, and will be welcomed through those pearly gates with open arms!
