well, i dont consider Israel and Palestine as history, its more modern cuz its still going on.. im talking about the old wars, and the great depressions and all that painful federalist papers my teachers makes us read.. its so gruesome! im intrrested in politics, but only whats happening now.. if that makes sense? newayz.. i do think luna has a point though.. some republicans are alert, but it depends on who u believe and what information you think is a lie or the truth. everyone has their own beliefs! =) wow, this forum is turning into a very personal issue.. =)

btw, what sal said about bush's war being a good thing... how on earth is it?? sadaam hussien didnt attack the twin towers, he didnt have weapons of mass destruction! he might have been an awful cruel dictator, but he wasnt wat bush was lying to the public about.. so y did bush chose Iraq? not north Korea? they personally have threatened the united states they are after us.. think about it.. all bush has done is destroy almost all of Iraq, and almost all of the solders over there think this is such a pointless war, its just wrong. Asama bin Ladden is who we should have been after the whole time.. geez =)

I never ever said that I thought this war was good. Contrarily, I've tried kept my opinion out. (I admit it's implied in some cases, but then the implication might not be what I really think.) What I did say is that I wish they'd raise taxes so that we're not going even farther into debt.

And uhm.. there are talks about going into Pakistan (who is ally,) after "terrorists," (to include Osama bin Laden) whether they want us to or not.

Here's my opinion: I sincerely hope that we don't.

im so glad Bush's term is almost over.. just watch how things get better all of a sudden. i just hope he doesnt totally destroy Iraq before then.. =)

Let's remember that not only did Clinton balance the budget after years of Republican deficit but actually let office with the US having a surplus - which the current Republican administration has managed to turn into the largest deficit in US history

Everyone has some kind of agenda or personal perspective that shapes our political decisions. However, the point of my earlier post is that personal beliefs are irrelevant when many, many sources of information are all saying the same things -- check out not only PBS stations and the ACLU but also even "mainstream" newspapers.

Two examples are: (1) Bush lied about weapons of mass destruction and (2) there have been many abuses of the constitution in the name of the Patriot Act (wiretapping without warrants).

Therefore, to put this very simply, it is a matter of fact that Bush/Cheney and cohorts have violated the law and lied to the American people, and that is just plain wrong (whether you're a Republican or a Democrat).

yes ur right pm, but look, the president only has 33% of power. wat about the rest 66? they are all going along with this. the whole point in making 3 branches was so no one can overpower anyone. that means most of the congress is with bush. and since the demarcates are all against him, its all the republicans that are backing him up! and btw, how did bush get re elected anywayz? everyone hated him in the election. they were all against him.. its so fishy. newayz, how could a man so stupid that couldnt even pass school without having his parents paying them to pass him do all this sinful stuff on his own? god, how this is going, soon the government is gonna be all corrupt all thanks to bush.

on top of all that.. how come bush hasnt been impeached yet? they impeached Clinton, and he hadnt done anything NEAR as bad as bush
