i remember when you were not a vegetarian,and i have not known you all my life.

Some of the foods on the list aren't obvious poisonous foods but what kind of idiot gives their bird alcohol? I mean the fact that it even is on a list makes me wonder what unsavory characters there are out there that have tried this!

I ran across an article on a web site by a woman whose African grey died suddenly and she learned it was this disease in the link I will post at the bottom of this. She said it was an eye opener because her parrot had been infected for a long time and the first symptom was loss of voice. Peanuts and a few other things are not good for the reasons stated. If you give any kind of seed or nut, it should be salt free. Mangos are ok, as is pasta. Rule of thumb, not high in salt or fat. Wheat pasta is always better. I went to Google and searched for an answer to your question about cinnamon. All I found was a site that had an advertisement for a bird food sold at Petsmart. The description of the food which is cooked for parakeets and canaries and finches said it smelled good due to the ingredient cinnamon and nutmeg. As for apple sause. I would make my own sause, I would not use commercial because of the chance that seeds may have gotten into the mix. You also want just apples and cinnamon, nothing else.
