hi guys. well today was a horrible horrible day in the pudgie budgie house. i came home on my lunch and did my thing and about 20 minutes before i left i talk to my birds see how they are and i notice chloe is gushing blood. there were blood clots coming out of her. so for 20 minutes i try to get it to stop i look for a blood feather everything and im her mommmy and i just freak out. i rushed her to the vet whihc is about 15 minutes away and they take her and they cant get it to stop either. finally they decided to cauterize where the clots were coming from. they think it was a blood feather i think that too but the thing is im worried because we cant find the base of it. the vet told me to take her home and make her comfortable cuz he doesnt think she will make it. i was told that with sam and ill be danged if i let her go. i know she lost a lot a lot of blood but shes my baby. if you guys want to see pics i can take some of her now red and brown butt:( ugh my poor lil baby:(

for humans u need sugar,,, give her some millet maybe it will provde energy and perhaps some fruit juice... produce blood and keep it warm in the house so she doesnt ahave to use her energy tokeep herself warm... good luck **praying**
Oh,well my friend had a parakeet who was albino. She started to bleed and turned red.My friend didn't know what to do about it so she just left her alone.she just got better and back to a noremal parakeet's life.
I'd say just do what the vet said, leave her alone and give her food, water etc.By leave it alone I men't don't touch her or anything.
Thats what I said (On AIM) The power of touch is amazing. If it were Lola I would be cuddling her non stop, warming her, talking to her, kissing her, rubbing her little head.

2keets , personally your titeles to your opinino but you dont have the right to put down some one elses trying use the word I THINK a bit more EX ur post above ... you could have said, well for a bleeding injured bird i think that handling her woudnt be the best thing to do since it may opens the wound ect. ( im sorry and if this topic turns into another fight you guys wont see me here anymore so dont make it one) I do agree with 2keets handling her for a litle while might not be the best idea since shes very deleicate at the time woudnt want to open the wound
EDIT : sorry two keets you just added your i think right afte ri cliked the post buttpon good job!
