Unfortunately, from time to time, offensive or silly posts arrive on our forum. If you see such a post, please send an 'alert', then add the person in question to your 'ignore' list.

DO NOT respond to them. DO NOT comment on posts - this feeds their needs. PLEASE ignore them completely until the posts disappear.

If anyone receives offensive private messages, again send an 'alert'. Then please ignore them. If you suspect that they will be unpleasant, do not even open them.

Offensive posts will be deleted and certain members will be banned where necessary.

Please do not give parakeets, or any other pets, as surprise gifts.

This is not a good idea.

If you obtain a pet, it is your responsibility to care for it. If you pass it on to someone else, you cannot be sure that they will be able to care for it as well as you would, and by giving it away, you also lose all your rights and responsibilities.

Animals need human support. It isn't fair to just hand them over to other people as a present.
