And they have already made friends with some local toms ~ so we've had all the crying to go out, etc.

Anyway, they are at the vets' now. I am concerned, obviously, because anasthaesia and operations are pretty major things.

They have a comfy warm bed that is on the ground in our lounge, so they should be OK there ~ and I'll make sure they are warm enough.

Yes, thanks, I'll try to keep an eye on them re eating, drinking, climbing and toilet care.

PDM- good for you! I think micro-chipping has become important these days. With high populations and travel frequencies, pets get lost more and more.

Your babies will be fine, but very groggy.

When my cat got spayed the vet allowed me to come back and check on her the night before he released her in the morning. I did stop by and see her, and it made me really sad. She was sooo out of it, and so drugged up so that she wouldn't be in pain. Of course she recovered fine (she's 12 in June!), but ever since her surgery she doesn't like to have her belly rubbed. I really don't blame her. She didn't know what happened, or why- other than her stomach really hurt and she wasn't going to allow anybody else to get near it.

They are home now ~ and looking a little drunk ~ walking mainly backwards ar first.

They don't like their collars ~ particularly the silver one, who apparently had a slightly bad reaction to the anaesthetic.

I'm concerned that they will be in a lot of pain when all the drugs wear off.

We are going to give them a little food in a few minutes and hope that they cope with it all right.

Glad to hear everything went well. They'll hate the collars at first but they'll get over it. Most can even eat and drink with them on.
They are beautiful cats! I love the grey and orangeish one! tabbys are my all time favorite! I love the swirls. is the skin on their tummies swirled like their fur was? My tiger cat Angel had stripes on her skin where she was shaved, it was so funny! Her little belly was pink and black striped.

They should both be less groggy soon! i hope all goes well.
