If you see this message elsewhere, it's because I forgot what thread I was on.

It's my understanding that corn cob 'litter' would be okay. After all, it's just corn, isn't it?

By the way, if the female my budgie is now with now stops producing eggs, would he make more with one of the other females? Or would he wear himself out? I'm thinking maybe I can give one of the other females a chance, since they seem so ticked off with being left out of everything.

This reminds me of the rooster in the hen house who ends up on his back in the middle of the yard with one hen circling overhead. (impossible, I know) Everyone thinks he's died from the exertion, when in fact he's playing possum waiting for that last one to land.

Hey, Animom... are you following me around? :-)

Yes, you're probably right. They should have their own men. Don't think I hadn't thought of it.

Then I definitely won't separate the 'lovers'.

Seeing how they are together, it would be cruel. They're just so chummy. It's cute. They're obviously very happy. I love to hear them twitter at one another and see them fluff up their feathers when they're together.
