just because you see something bad on youtube and you flag it to make it be deleted does NOT mean that it will stop the bad thing from happening, actually, in my opinion, it will just make them do it more since they got so much attention on it. the people think its a game. so the next time you cause an animal abuse video on you tube to be deleted your actually deleting evidence of a crime. if you just send that to someone higher ranking than you they can DO something. evn you can do something! it doesnt make any sense just to talk about it on these forums. its great that this is where you put your information but a website that has people who are against animal cruelty already doesnt need this information. other people who dont know that it even exists need to know. words dont do anything, actions do. plus, anything that i have learned from living in this world is that people are cruel. everyone is, its who we are. ever kill a bug? your a murderer but you never thought twice about killing them did you? well this is that way for these people. they dont value lives like we do. we kno its limitations but we also kno there is absolutely nothing we can do for the people that dont kno its limitations. its impossible. humans are evil creatures, we kill for fun more than we kill for food, we are lazy and let other humans or animals do our work for us and we dont care who gets hurt while we lay around. its always been that way. i kno i am speaking against my kind but think about it, we are not ever going to change unless something is done. this post, the one you are reading now, still wont help anyone or anything. i just thought you should know my opinion.

if you are against animal cruelty dont tell someone who is against it already, tell it, teach it, show it to someone who doesnt know about it. theyll spread it and pretty soon itll be everywhere. if you see animal cruelty send it to an animal protection center or something like animal cops.

i needed to say how i felt on people complaining about how horrible animal cruelty is. what i say to them: "Then DO something about it!"

yes, which is why i said to notify animal advocacy groups of such videos, each and every single time and demand a response.

youtube is FULL of videos of outright cruelty and abuse... and it needs to stop.

This is why I posted the directions for how to write to YouTube and explain why a video is wrong instead of just flagging it. Countless flags didn't do anything but explaining why the video was wrong got it removed within hours.
I also reported the snake video to the Justice Department and PETA. I tried the ASPCA but they have no way to report it that I could find. I think that is who sent me to the Justice Department. I did as PETA suggested and saved the video so the evidence would still be available even if deleted on YouTube.
One problem is that it is very hard to know what authority to report it to. These kind of laws are usually local and who knows where the people are from. If I report it to my local authorities, they can't legally do anything.

groups like peta can petition youtube and put the pressure on so that youtube will screen videos better and not allow this kind of thing on the site.

legaly standing there isnt much you can do, especially about the snake video as it would be seen as simply feeding the snake (as repulsive as that may be to some)

yep yep yep helwa is right. that is why I posted a link from Peta that gave instructions of what to do on animal abuse over the internet.

Before you 'own' an animal and really love it, it is easier to put blinders on to these types of things. It takes your 'pet' to open up your eyes.

It's true, all I did was tell everyone to flag the video because I was at a loss of what else could be done. In person I could do something because I have physical contact with the abuse, I had no idea where to start with an almost anonymous video.

I do thank those who posted the links on reporting things like that.

I don't think you should fault someone for just speaking out about it, look where my posting about the first video led, more were brought forward and 2 of the three videos have been reported.

It does more good to continually spam and yell at the person on youtube. At least that's my experience. Then they'll learn the error of their ways and hopefully take down the video by themselves.
