it takes time for keets to try new things. I had one of those things in the keets cage and they've never touched it and its been going on 4+ months. I put one in Lovie's cage and she nibbles here and there. Leave it there and he'll get to it.

How long ago did you put it in his cage? It might take a few days for him to realize it's not a big bad monster out to get him lol. He'll figure it out eventually.Just give him time. I also read somewhere that you might want to hang it sideways instead of up and down-it might seem less threatening because it's not as tall that way? IDK can't hurt to try I guess

Bernard's beak is like Aruba's in the picture; it always has been even though he has a cuttle bone and mineral block that he gnaws on. He's eating some harrison’s pellets with his seeds and I'm hoping that if I ever manage to convince him to eat vegetables that will help. Does anyone know if a calcium supplement in his water would help?

Is it just the calcium that affects the beak? Because he does eat egg shells and a small amount of cooked egg (not sure how often I'm supposed to give him that so it's only been once a week so far).
I am really not sure. Like I was saying earlier, I noticed that once Aruba got eating veggie and pellets it cleared up that dryness look. I would think maybe it is a mixture of many vitamins/minerals.
