I think Marge and I would get along nicely. When my son was on a little league basketball team, the other teams coach was bad-mouthing my son during the game. NO WAY I'M TAKING THAT. After the game I told him what I thought of him. Apparently, he didn't like what I said and reported me to the Head Honcho. The phone call came the next day and I was told that if I couldn't behave myself, I was not allowed at any more games. Bottom line, I behaved. The coach was a total jerk and I don't regret what I said to him. It gets better. A few months later, my mother contacted HER lawyer to go over a few things, and guess who was the lawyer.... THE JERK.
To answer your question...why can't they?

Well, you know, they both can have character, and either one is a winner, at this point. You see - I'm not good at trash talk.

I'm loyal to my team, though. If I say I'm a fan, I'm a fan through the good and the bad.

In the interviews in San Diego, they were asking us if we were intimidated because so many Oakland Raiders fans were in town, and so few of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Marge grinned and said, "Us, intimidated? Hey, we play in the black and blue division. Cheese heads, vikings, you name it. Some little wimpy Raider Nation gonna scare us? No way!"

Even the newscasters chuckled.

I think Marge needs to meet a few 700 level, nosebleed section fans and try talking trash to them. Black and Blue LOL

Excited and nervous about tonight. I'll be thinking about you and Marge tonight.

Course, the Bucs are now in the Southern Division, but principle is still the same - nobody intimidates her.

Let's play ball!

By the way, we've been in that level for the Clapton concert, and at The Swamp, for Florida Gator games. The concrete floor and steps get a little damp, even. A bit worrisome.

My, my, my -- just looked up "rooting!" I get enough grief around here for pronouncing it "roooooot" whereas the Chicago natives pronounce it "root" as in the "oo" of book." I tend to use the work "bonkers" a lot (as in, looney/crazy) but in England "bonk" means, er, something like what "root" means in Australia!

But ----- man, I sure will try to catch some of the World Series of BASEBALL, and I am rooting for-- er, pulling for Philly! Sorry, Carl!!

AHHHHHH, Paula. I wouldn't mind "rooting" for Pat Burrell.
He plays BASEBALL.

So y'all are going to gang up on li'l ol' me, huh?

Marge was telling me how in the old days (before we met) and she'd be out in the karaoke dives, er... I mean bars. Some militant woman would want to take her out in the parking lot because her "man" was looking at Marge too much. She let them know she didn't think their "man" was worth fighting over.

Not that she'd fight for my trash talk, either. Nor will we.

We have fun.

Speaking of flea markets, Marge took me to one in upstate NY - where I bought a really neat shirt that brings to mind American Natives (made in Mexico, of course). And they had harness racing. Can't remember the name of the town/area, but it was in the Seneca Lakes area.

And how that all relates to baseball? Setting the tailgating atmosphere, of course.

Honey, we aren't ganging up on you. It's all in good fun. Right, Paula???
Marge is a very brave woman. I have a big mouth, but I'm petite, so I'm careful who I "tick off".
The only city that I can think of in that area is Geneva.
How does this relate to Baseball... simple. They play baseball in New YOrk. hahahahah
Best tailgating is at State College, PA. All the RV's lined up and as you walk past each one you can smell the food on the grills. The little ones are throwing footballs by the stadium and all the booze, I mean soda. Darn, I could go for a burger right about now. Maybe a beer, I mean root beer.
PLAY BALL!!!!
