Music is so wonderfully relative!!=) Time, culture, country, background, age... it all effects everyone's opinion! It's marvelous really. Is there a best song ever made? I doubt it! Considering the fact that mankind has been producing music for milenia.
I'd have to think long and hard before I make my own list.
But I must say I cried my eyeballs out at "I loved her first" by Heartland. My DJ cousin at our wedding played it for my dance with daddy. It was quite the scene. Perfect song too.
OMG!!! "I loved her first" was the first song played at my son's wedding. I was driving to work one day, heard the song and immediately called my future DIL to tell her to listen to the song. She loved it. I still cry when I hear it. I think a perfect "wedding" song is "I believe in you and me" by The 4 tops. It's beautiful.
Oh, yes; I've just listened to it and it's lovely. I don't think I've heard that before. I'm going to download it.
I don't think I had a father / daughter dance at my wedding. I should have. I don't think I've been to a wedding where there was one. It doesn't seem to be the custom here.

My all time favorite song is "Blue Sky" by the Allman Brothers. It's over seven minutes of pure southern rock n roll and Dickie Betts guitar work is smokin'
