it amazes me how every one in this thread completly missed the point of the campaign.

ALL they are asking is that a different method of slaughter be used, one that is more humane, one that kills in an instant, pain free.

that is all they are asking for, nothing more.

why is that so controversial and such a big deal?

I know that they are cruel in the methods of killing, but like other people said how can we trust Peta. I had little respect for the animal groups and then lost all respect for them when In Defense of Animals tried to turn the San Francisco Zoo into a Rescue zoo. Yes there are people who care about animals, but groups like Peta want political power they couldn't care less about the animals. They are not focusing their attention to the right place.

I doubt PETA would go soft and only advocate for more "human killing." They seem to only go all the way for the whole world to be vegetarian. I have zero respect for PETA and no regard for any of their documentations nor claims.

How do you humanely kill anyway? With chikcens it's hard cause you cut their head off and they can still live for a while. Not to be gross, but it's true. Just how do you humanely kill anything?

very good point niki. killing... is not humane. actually, not true, there are humane REASONS to kill, but taking life in any way is not humane. can anyone say "oxymoron"?
