I've been looking into adopting a female budgie at a local caged bird rescue, and I just found out that they have a female blue budgie in one of their foster homes!

I'm so excited -- had to share the news!

So now I'm waiting to hear what happens next. The rescue needs to review my application, and I'd like to hear the bird's history, and I need to coordinate things to have her examined by our vet.

Have cage set up far from Pudgie (for quarantine & training), hubby's on board with the whole idea, and I am prepared to turn into a full-fledged (ha ha) "crazy bird lady!"
