Somsuj, Yowo's sentiment is one that most people find puzzling and disgusting. I have been asked to first close, and then re-open, this thread, so that Yowo can learn this.

However, for an adult to actually wish severe harm on specific innocent individuals ~ related to a thoughtless child ~ takes the matter at least one step further. I found that unfortunate, surprising and beyond acceptable ~ and I received complaints about it.

How does that help the situation, or teach Yowo anything?
It simply makes matters worse.

This is, I suppose, where my personal hat and moderator hat overlap. You and others may or may not disagree.

I was taught that two wrongs don't make a right and that it is wrong to wish harm onto anyone.

I am nearly at a loss for words regarding Helwa's post. Such suffering and sorrow are horrendous...

Yes...

PDM, I liked your "rant" very much -- thought-provoking...

helwa - my heart goes out to you.

there is a serious side to my t-shirt - the one where the stars on the american flag are re-arranged into a swastika...

i hear stories like this and i think - the third reich didn't lose the war, it didn't disappear. it just moved across the water.

i hope obam can steer america off this path.

I did not wish him any harm.
I only wished him what he was 'celebrating'.
If he was celebrating an occassion when people were harmed - then it was his fault.

He should not wish for others that which he does not wish for himself.

When he reacted by saying 'That's not cool' - I guess he learnt his lesson.

Anyway, I disagree with your action, but I shall move on.
And for people who complained, I would say, they could have written to me directly expressing their displeasure.

Cheers.

Yes, he was SAYING celebrating!!
Yowo, for the LAST TIME.
Please do not ever post about 9/11 again.
Please.
If I were you I would have said, "Can we all take a couple minutes and pray for those whom died in this terrible attack?" rather than, "Happy 9/11 everyone!"

It was not a very happy day.
I am leaving all this to PDM.
