Hi guys. Ok so heres the story...

One day my friend found this poor cat. we made a house for it and fed it. but we had to take the house down and stop feeding it. his name was Loki...

A month later i was bringing bloo out to the aivary to be with Ollie. As i was closing the door she slipped out of my hands and flew away. i immediatley RAN downstairs (the aivary is outside on my balcony) and there i saw Loki with Bloo in his mouth. I ran over to him and got Bloo out of his mouth and threw Loki away from me.

Later, we buried Bloo in our garden, and got some flowers for her. We also got a new bird so Ollie wouldnt be so lonly. We didnt think of a name yet but i like banana (shes a Lutino mutation)

Now i hate Loki. I know its in his nature but i still hate him. Even though i know it was my fault Bloo is gone...

please don't think it is your fault... it isn't. things happen that are beyond our control, that is why they are called accidents.
i understand how you feel about loki as well. you may feel like you hate him, but you are an animal lover obviously, and the feelings will dull in time. please don't blame yourself. i live by the idea ... things happen for a reason. they may be horrible at the time but eventually it will be revealed to you. it was quick and bloo never underwent days of suffering because you wouldn't take him to a vet if it was that way... you may be able to feel bad regarding your part in it, but things were not like that so don't take your sorrow out on yourself, you don't deserve it.
this is terrible, but it is an example of why you are not responsible... i knew a fellow who stepped on his own bird, not knowing it was out. it had figured out how to open the cage door and was prowling about in the room it's cage was in. he went in for something or other and not knowing the bird got out, had no clue to be careful and stepped on his lil birdie.
he blamed himself as well and that is human nature and nothing will ever change it. i asked him if the bird had ever pulled a houdini act, he said no. i asked him if he would have secured the cage door if he had known the bird was working on it, he said yes. the unfortunate thing did happen but it was not his fault because he had no warning or clue that the posibility existed that his keet was not in the cage. it was hard on him but after a while, he understood that he was not the way he felt he was.
i love that you got a new friend for ollie. (see... a terrible person wouldn't think of something like that. :)) a lutino. they are pretty, is it a creamio (pale colored) or bright?
a "dew over"!! (a name i would think of... i choose "different" names! LOL)
enjoy the good memories of bloo, and making more good ones with your new baby.

BB, did your post go through 3 times at a 1 minute difference?
Wow. 3 times. That's a lot for the posts.

Anyways,

Oh my God!
I am so sorry for your loss.
It is the nature that cats like birds and will stalk them, kill them...
Please don't have angriness towards yourself right now.
It is truely horrible when you loose your best friend. You look at yourself in the mirror and whisper, "Why did I let my cat hurt my precious bird friend! WHY!!!!"
It's normal to be like that, and I'm so sorry for your loss.
i would recommend that with your 2 birds that you own, keep them in one room with the cage locked at all times, so your cat won't hunt them down.
Again, I am so sorry frown

Caninerz, I am soo sorry to hear about Bloo frown Like the others said..Do Not blame yourself. Accidents happen and can't be predicted. Losing a pet is sooo hard.
And try not to be angry with Loki anymore. It's just a part of what he is, he's a cat and that's what they do, it's basic instinct. especially if he was left on his own, he was only trying to take care of his needs in the only way he knows how.

RIP little Bloo^

I wouldn't hate your cat for that. My dog Dexter (AKA Fuzzy Cookie) was in the room when I removed something from the cage and Foo freaked out and got out and if I hadn't freaked out and started screaming at Dex 1 NANOSECOND later Foo would be in my garden. But I don't hate Dexter for that I just bring them into seperate rooms to train them and close the door so Dex can't get in. If God thought it was his time, it was his time. He must be with all the other lost friends right now (including my poor Burger) though, so don't blame the cat it's his natural instincts. Enjoy what you have while you have it, especially pets.

R.I.P. Bloo also.
