xD Yes, english is my first language and in fact, I have never left the country. I just have an interest in languages. My school only ever offered German, French and Spanish (I took Spanish, now wishing I had chosen German) so I've had to teach myself Latin and Japanese from books and such.

I sound a lot smarter than I really am.

There are some great software packages out there, or even websites - it is really helpful to be able to hear a language to help you learn and remember it.

I have been trying to learn Ukrainian for some time now and the audio tapes and such are very helpful.
