Some of you know about Daisy, my adopted cockatiel. Well, with 3 months of loving treatment, she is finally letting me pet her! She actually asked for skritches this morning, after I gave her her cereal. She tucked her beak into her chest and made little peep-peep noises. So sweet!

Breakfast has become a ritual, by the way. Every morning she calls when she hears me, I go get her, and she looks at the kitchen and starts flapping. I ask "Wanna go get Krispies?" And she dances around, or calls out. Then we get the box, with its exciting crinkly paper, and she and the keets get a handful of Rice Krispies to start the day. It's so cute. They all love Rice Krispies. Then she sits on her cage top and eats them.

My birds like all kinds of unsweetened cereal. Shredded Wheat biscuits(not the kind with icing), Rice Chex, Rice Krispies, and Cheerios are all big favorites. Very messy, but they love them.

You can also strimg them and tie them along one side of the cage. They love bitting them off. Not sure how much they eat, but they sure like to bite them.
