Yes I can believe that women are just as capable of being mentallly ill. My husband was sexually abused by a daycare worker. It did affect the the rest of his life.

I think where we get it wrong is the old school thinking that little boys are not affected like little girls.

I think that we have a recent thread, where there was a discussion as to whether paedophilia was an illness.

Until only a few years ago, I simply wasn't aware of the amount of incest, abuse, paedophilia, etc, that went on. I was really shocked when I found out.

I am no longer shocked.

Certainly I am not shocked that some women's behaviour can be as evil as a some men's behaviour.

Some honour killings are arranged by girls' mothers.

I remember a young rapist telling of being constantly forced into sexual activity by his mother and his aunt. He hated women, and demonstrated his hatred in the way he had learned from childhood ~ sexual dominance and violence.

I remember there being shocked horror, in the newspapers, when it was reported that some girls held down another girl while boys raped her ~ but I had heard anecdotes about similar behaviour going on in some mixed schools, when I was a girl.

Girls & women can be nasty.

There is a myth that, if women ruled the world, it would be a better, kinder place.

If women ruled the world, retribution would be swifter and harsher.

You could be right.

Sadly, I do find it hard to believe. But that's only because of the number of abuse by men I've seen and witnessed. The amount is too overwhelming to me to even be able to consider that women could do the same.

It just doesn't fit the stereotype, and that's why it's so hard to believe. Women are seen as the caretakers, the baby raisers, the sensitive ones.

But stereotypes aren't always true. There are exceptions to everything. Women are just as capable of sexual crimes as men.

Because of our social teachings and just the nature of boys and girls/men and women - sexual crimes against boys and men are not going to be reported nearly as often as sexual crimes against girls/women. Since such a huge percentage of crimes against women are not reported, we can only guess how many sex crimes against males never see the light of day.

I agree totally. If women ruled the world, it would be a tricky place to live! lol

The tricky part (IMO) comes in because a woman thinks with high emotion. We also have menopause, and I'm here to tell you that it can make a woman insane. I didn't think I was insane while it was going on with me, but looking back, I see it totally!

We have PMS. Lord knows you don't want to be around when she's having harmone problems!

I guess I'm going to hear about this post, but these aren't MY opinions. These things are documented.

ps: I am not talking about the Presidency here. I'm talking if women ruled the WORLD.
