He is pretty loud. Louder than Gimpy. Has a lower pitch than her as well, funny how they have their own voices.

I want to cover them, but Anakin seems to spaz out every time I put the cover on and off. So Im actually not sure if I should use it anymore.

I don't use a cover anymore. Since Heneri came they both get upset when I cover the cage. It's dark downstairs and they are in a draft free spot.

birds dont like certain colors or patterns what your covering it with maybe something in color or pattern that causes him to panick use something different

Thanks guys...It's a plain flat grey cage cover. I didnt use a cover last night and all was well, I guess he doesnt like the scary thing covering his cage.

I was using a plain navy colored sheet. I haven't used one in ages and they seem well. They are in a room alone, dark with no drafts.

ok giggle what a nutbar huh try drapping part of his cage BEFORE he goes to sleep to let him get use to it..even if you just stick a dishcloth or something small for now over it.

my birds are funny he once stayed tottaly in the same spot for 30 minutes, after i put the blanket on lol,

i went to look and he was still there!

well they will stay in one spot after being covered thats normal

Just to clarify, I *think* Illusive Fantasy was teasingly saying that the parakeet, Anakin, was being a little ditzy for being afraid of the "scary" piece of fabric. And that 428pm should gently help Anakin realize that the fabric was not a dark entity from Hades ...
