I am currently in the middle of rereading the "Greek Lyric Poets" Translated by M.L. West and a couple of books by Tariq Ramadan.

Next week I plan to reread Howard Zinn's "A People's History of the United States." He just recently passed away and I wish to reinvent my faith in him. His legacy lives on on many people like Matt Damon, Tariq Ali, and others.

I am reading "The Vertical Farm" and "Marketing in the Moment." The former is about sustainable agriculture and the latter is about using Web 3.0 ideas from a marketing standpoint.

I haven't read for pleasure in it seems like eons because I'm so busy with the websites. I'm also taking courses towards my bachelor's degree now, so I have a lot of reading every week of course material. I'm taking 4 classes at a time (a full load) so the reading is fairly substantial.

So right now I'm reading about finance, sociology, English thesis writing, and how science, technology, and cultures affect each other.

After I graduated I found myself yearning to get back to learn new things - so I started studying for the Certified Public Accounting license. Finished that a couple of years ago and am now planning to study for the Certified Internal Auditor exam and the Certified Fraud Examiner exam - love learning new things and I figure if I'm up for studying why not work towards another certification!! When I was studying for my CPA I don't think I got in any time for reading for pleasure because every chance I got, I was re-reading my study books!!

Good for you for going back to school!!

Science, technology and cultures affecting each other sounds really interesting!

MW1 - That is great about the exams you are going for! I strongly feel we should all keep learning and growing, and you are an awesome role model!

I dropped out of college to get married and have a son, and while I did very well without a degree, I always regretted the missing out on learning. When this leadership degree became available through Northeastern, and the courses seemed *perfect* for helping me become a better mentor and "life coach" to my BellaOnline editors, I took a deep breath and signed up.

I was already *swamped* with work so now I am even more swamped, but now that I've been doing it for a few months I am finally gaining a bit of sanity and finding spare moments to do things like post in these forums!

The girl who kicked the hornet's nest. fabulous trilogy.

On to Homer next, then probably Ken Follet's new epic.

And if I'm not reading or shuttling daughter, I'm working.

Jilly look up some of the stuff that they have done in Cuba. I hear that every rooftop has it's own organic garden and they use no fertilizers whatsoever. I cannot remember the name of the documentary I watched but I downloaded it from onebigtorrent.org of course you will need a torrent app.

My latest reading was "States of Knowledge" which is subtitled "the co-production of science and social order" smile It's my science-technology-culture reading material, full of essays.

The latest essay was very interesting and was about how muscular dystrophy patients in France had to create their own science - because no doctors would work with them. Then together they created their own results and studies, which then doctors then worked with.

Hi Cetan smile
I was thinking of those books, but have read very mixed reviews, so you will have to let us know your verdict, if / when you get around to reading them smile
