I chose that name because I serve the Lord Jesus Christ who is in my opinion the only living God. That is what the name is intended to imply. I don't know enough about the horned one other than it sounds an awful lot like satan and I certainly do not ascribe to Isis and Osiris. Sorry, I hope this does not offend you. You sound like a good liberal kind of person with a loving heart and a soul of openness ready to accept anyone so the last thing I wanted to do was to offend you in any way.

I just put the words together and found that Lords/Lady was two terms I use on a daily basis and when you break it down it could mean many things. It could have meant that you are indeed the "Lord's himself Lady" as in "Jesus' Lady" or it could have been some sort of connotation towards the pagan Gods that I mentioned earlier.

The Great Horned One is the Hunter of the Forest or the Male portion of a deity worshiped tens of thousands of years before the birth of Moses. He is simply called our Lord because we prefer not to call out, nor to write, his name. His name is only said during holy rituals just like our Lady.

The Catholic Church made sure to spread fear about this God, and all others except their one true God even though people had worshiped a balance of feminine and male deity for tens of thousands of years, and his worship during their inquisition where they murdered fifty thousand people with recorded history names and all and their have been professional estimates that this number is as high as a million just so the church could gain power, through the use of fear and force over the people. Just in my opinion you can see where this has gotten us today. People have all the technology they could ever dream of but our planet is dying and people, in general, have nothing to live for. After Constantine's death and the wars that ensued the Church gained eminent power over practically all lands in western Europe and made slaves of the poor and the rich alike. Even the Monarchy dare not cross the church because it was the path to God. Get my Drift? In my opinion the only evil in the world is perpetrated by man against man and that can be solved in ways of forgiveness or brutality either one. In the end all man has is his two hands, a will to exist and mother nature herself. The worship of the Gods helps to remind man that we must discipline ourselves in order to survive. The Gods take care of the rest.

I admire both of you. As usual, I agree with some, and other parts I just don't know. I definitely agree about the evil being perpetrated by man against man. And I think that "church" (that is, organized religion) is one of the worst offenders in that evil - not only doing the evil, but leading others to do it. And they profess to do it in the name of God.

As for God's interaction with me in my life, I'm still on my path, and still not too good in analyzing what it means. Main thing I DO know (through some mystical experiences) is that God cares about me as I am. God has shown me that he and/or she is especially fond of me. (credit to Wm. Paul Young's *The Shack.*

Hi mongrel, you did not offend me. Thank you for your kind words. I personally have a relationship with God which has been going on for over 35 years. I do not claim to know all there is to know and believe that we will never know until we are face to face with our maker. I am not a religious person. I believe religion has done nothing but distort God's word into their own little box. God cannot IMHO be contained in a box.

But I respect whatever others wish to believe. I do want you to know however that I pray that if I am correct in my belief, all will come to know whom I believe to be the one true God. As my pastor is fond of saying "one second after you die, you will know whether or not you made a mistake in your belief....however, it will then be too late".

Emilie, if -after death - one sees God (rather than, among other possibilities, reincarnating for another life), I think we'll be surprised by how many others are also seeing God (and being seen) who believed NOTHING like we did. I think that we ALL (and not just the main religions) think too exclusive when we think about what God wants. Personally, I think being a good neighbor is what one can do to feel "ready" to see God.
