omg i just got braces theyyyy hurrt soo bad! advil dosent work! any suggestions!!!!!!!!!

How long ago did you take the advil? Give it time to work and try to relax.
I was going to say there's not much you can do for that type of pain..you're not talking about sores from the wires right?

In the future remember to take advil BEFORE you go for tightening etc. It works better if you don't wait til the pain is really bad.

Did the ortho give you wax for those wires..to help keep them from cutting in to your mouth/inside of cheeks? How about orajel or something like that. Did ortho suggest oragel or ambesol?

Just hang in there..it'll get better over time and sooo worth it in the end

just saying for all first ppl with braces u must buy some orajel!

Katie it only hurts for a couple days and then it's gone......orajel is not a necessity I don't think. After a while you get used to the pain and then it docent hurt at all for a tightening. So I wouldn't recommend using a ton of wax or orajel.
