Alrighty ya'll! I am a keet owner again! He's a ten week old male, yellow and green! More green than yellow. He looks a lot like Cheeko but more green and he has a darker blue cere. Pics will be coming soon.

Of course, he's not as tame as I thought he would be. He has already bitten me when I transfered him to his cage. Ouch! He latched on and would not let go! I stood my ground and said "No." but of course that didn't work. He's a baby and he's new so what in the world do I expect? She said he was very tame around her husband....hope he hasn't developed a liking for men! LOL

He is clipped but only a quarter inch was taken off. Unlike Cheeko who was clipped to the very top! He can still fly very well, trust me.

To be honest, I think he is less tame than Cheeko was when I first brought him home. I don't know. I am not gonna keep comparing the two because they are individuals.

No name yet! Maybe Connor? LOL

Right now he is sitting on top of his herb salad feed cup! LOL He isn't so much like a statue because he is moving his head around.

YAH!

Hahaha I like the possibilities of names! Lol!

She told me he was ten weeks old. She checked a book so I hope she's telling me the truth. He doesn't have gray irises yet and he's a little bit smaller than Cheeko. Now ya'll have me worried!

Looking at the stripes....not sure, He has more stripes than Cheeko had but that's not telling me much.

He has less stripes than the one who is less than 4 months old and more than the one that's 4 months or older. But I'm not sure if it's because of the color difference.

I hope the lady didn't lie because she could have easily lied about the English budgie I was asking her about. She would have made more money if she told me it was the same age.

IDK about the different color mutations and what not...but I do know that I got levi at 6 1/2 wks old..tiny little thing, and he didn't have head stripes. You could only see them faintly when he was wet.
A few others here at the time with birds the same color as Levi said theirs did not have the bars as babies either.

Anyway..no matter, he's pretty as a picture Kim and will be perfect no matter how old he is. he does look to be quite young at any rate.

So Levi at 6 and a half weeks didn't have bars either! So that means it's possible, my new baby could be ten weeks old!
