Well Illusive you do live near. Where I live is so noisy too, apartment complex, someone always playing music or hanging on the porch but I have to live in the "City of" for now part of my union contract. When I see my horse in Middleboro very serene, peaceful. I know hunting is part of the circle of life if you will but I still cant stand to kill an animal myself. I guess I would have to learn if it were a necessity. I'm no vegetarian wish I could be don't have the discipline. I kind of think of meat in the abstract just "food".

we are meant to be meat eaters our eyes are designed to hunt and be predators and hate to tell ya if ya eat meat even from grocery those meat cuts are not still breathing so every time ya buy meat a animal has to be killed...and wild game is far far healthier for ya absolutely noooo fat cept for water fowl...such as goose or duck etc.

what kind of horse do you have??? and how long have you had it...do you still ride???? how many hands is he/she???

I have a quarter horse appendix bay gelding about 15 something hands, he's pretty tall but I forget measurements. He is around 16 I think. Have had him for a couple years, I ride English pleasure used to show and jump but too old now ( or out of shape). Plus he can be full of it sometimes - bucks or gets jiggy but he is a good horse, name is Jackpot (already named). I get down there around twice a week.

thats what i had was a quarter horse but road mostly western and did a lot of shows...she was a mare 15.2 hands..high enough for my short legs lol ...im outta shape too so thats all gone for me gave my saddle to my daughter but kept my other things cept for boots lol...its really expensive to keep horses and very time consuming so i understand...and yes in fall and spring they sure can get jiggy...i loved to offbeat trail ride mostly start on a trail then wander...schooled others horses ..gave private riding lessons and worked with race horses for many years before foxboro became a football stadium....it was a track..

I had many wonderful horses in my lifetime. Mr. Moose, a grade gelding, was my most trusted mount and also old Bubba our quarter horse, my hubby mostly rode.

I trained horses for a long time and still do on occasion. Always rode western and mostly trail and shows.

I recently watched The Book of Eli, and was interested in the barter scenes. This takes place 30 years after a nuclear war, and apparently these items are in high demand:

the bible
shampoo
children's toys
leather work gloves
good shoes/boots
perfume
canned food

The guy could not give away a zippo lighter, for some reason.

I thought that was all very interesting. particularly about the children's toys. Can't really anything become a children's toy?
