Illusive you are just a gem to the bird loving community. I just wanted to thank you for all the help you gave my hubby while I was in hospital. Words just can't express enough how you have saved my little Marley and made a wee bit of a bird lover out of my Hubby smile

I'm still ordered on bed rest but will have my laptop with me and will check often. It was great to come home to my little miracle baby and my two feathered kids. I was even more surprised to see how quiet our new little baby Pheonix is - Matt may just have the touch!

Thank you thank you thank you.
Truly a special person you are smile

You're home!!! Yay! Home sweet home eh? I bet it feels soo good.
I hope you are feeling better, I know it's been rough. Follow dr's orders and stay your butt in bed! You know you can count on illusive to continue to help out while you recuperate. Your bird boys are in good hands.
NO relapses ya hear??

I have heard that both birdies are doing great, and also how well that hubby of yours has been being surrogate mom while you were in the hospital.
The man did more than well..he did GREAT, especially considering it was all new territory for him. You should be very proud MnM smile
Give the man a big hug and a pat on the back for a job well done.
Buy the man a beer..or maybe even a case or 2! lol He really stepped up.

Pheonix huh??? So the little nameless guy has a name?? I liiike it!

It is his name. Lol hubby decided on it last night apparently. I suppose after all he has done I owe him the right to name the little guy. I was really surprised to see how lovely and quiet he is...I was still in the perch training phase but now he sits on your shoulder, nibbles your ears and loves a little scratch around the head. It is SO good to see. Little Marley has grown HEAPS. He has a lovely long tail now too. Gosh I feel like I've been gone forever lol.

It was a bit of a scary time...specially when they moved me to ICU and put that horrible ventilator thing on me. I don't remember a lot of it as they had to sedate me...but Matt said I looked awful (bless him lol)....it had to have been such a horrible and stressful time for him, with everything...I am super proud of him, he will be on the top of my spoil list now smile

Matt wants to keep doing what he's doing with the birds, to give me the rest I was ordered, plus I know he has grown such a soft spot for the little fellas (shhh don't tell him I said that!). Btw, Marley's cere is really showing it's blue now....and getting lighter and lighter...Pheonix, hmmm not sure - maybe little Pheonix is a she! it's not as blue as Marley's. I'll take some pics when I feel a bit more stronger...

It is weird seeing them together, but I understand how it became pretty much a do or die thing. They get along so well, Pheonix is always cleaning Marley, and he just shuts his eyes and soaks it all up lol

Ok....Rest time *hugs*

I can certainly relate to that horrible ventilator, and also to how scary it was for Matt to see. Not sure which side of things is worse..being the one lying there or being the one watching the loved one lying there.

As for him developing a soft spot for the little fellas all I can say is awwwww LOL Honestly I think the bonding time was good for all of them. Probably good for that little boy of yours too smile
I bet he is THRILLED to have his mommy back home huh? It's so hard for them to have their routine thrown totally out of whack, esp when too young to explain it to them.

Picturing Phoenix cleaning/preening little Marley.(not that marley is really little compared to Phoenix now huh) So darn sweet.
I am hoping that they are both boys..but if not, it is what it is and you'll cross that bridge when ya get there. Not to worry about now,,it's a ways down the road.

Just so darn happy that all is well. grin

WELCOME HOME & best wishes to you and your hubby...and of course to little Marley and Phoenix too! Yes, I couldn't agree with you more that Illusive is a gem to the bird loving community. She helped bringing back the health of my boy when JJ was having heavy metal poisoning at that time. Glad that I had met her.

yep and not only that MnM BUT remember we talked a small bit about color mutations??? well A LOT has to do with that too regarding the cere colors that will develop with some of these color mutations soooo just put that out of your head...

and as kksuns mentioned when the time comes to MAYBE deal with that ...guess what ...lol..there will be plenty to help ya there too go thru that time...but sometimes i keep referring to marley as she for some unknown reason .. ive told kksuns that too just the other nite on the phone...so many times in text ive gone back to say HE instead of SHE lol...

ok its time for me to take a sleep med...i THINK ive earned it lol

and bebee sooooooo glad you totally trusted a stranger you barely talked to at all and listened when i said get JJ offff those antibiotics that was one heck of a leap of faith to put into a total stranger at the time...

ok huggggggggs all around this dang forum...cya shortly
