This examines the nature of memory. If you lost your memory, and no longer had traumatic memories to "escape from", would you be different? Would your values and even personality change, if your mind was not shaped by injuries of the past?

I really liked the story, but i felt she was overanaylzing her past. If she woke up a newer, more nicer person, great. But if she had been a bandit, that was not her now.

It seemed a bit more angsty than I would have felt.

I suppose we are all different people! Remember, she woke up with her brain still carved with the existing pathways. Her body still flinched when she was touched. So it is not like her brain was fresh and new

Right. So to me there was a lot of time spent fretting over something I would not have worried about. And i felt other people were also really worked up about the possibility too. I thought she got in her own way more than a few times.

Undoubtedly she did - that was something I was exploring. Do our own perceptions - even absent supporting memories - sometimes cause issues for us?
