I know...he wore me down acting so upset when I let Pips out yesterday...I felt bad and sat the cage on the floor and sat down with him for a bit. He stayed quiet mostly just crawling around the outside of his cage and his little bird tree I have for them to play on. Then he took off. AAAHHHH. I went running after him but his landing was pretty good. He got put away back in lock up then. Right after the photo of the day. smile

well of course its up to you but honestly i would not let him out till all flights are in...they do survive lol...after cappy accident believe me he didnt come out either ...couldnt take the chance of that beak being reinjured at that point so he was in for a month also. Just tell yourself a month of sacrifice is not much considering a life time of pleasure...(10yrs or more)

Ok...I will try. I will have to content myself with sticking my hand in his cage a lot I guess. :I This should give me time to work with Pips more although is it the same advice if she is in a molt?

of course it would be the same advice for ANY bird who had wings clipped and is then only getting new flights in... frown

the boing i got advertised at 18" however i dont think someone knew how to measure cuz NOT STRETCH STRAIGHT and set up like it should be ..it measures 24" so stretched straight it would be much longer....and it came with a bell on the end which is something of cappys thats always a hit.

Hi Sorry to hear about the mishap. Glad he is doing well again. One of the birds I acquired had a broken beak at one time.He now has an under bite. He keeps it ground down pretty well. Is able to eat climb well.Have friend who worked with birds a lot in her time and she checked it out.
What do you mean about the cutting boards. Are they the cutting mats or the full size 1/2 inch or so thick ones.
Thanks

I use the cutting boards also, they work great in the Vision cages. They a pliable, like a mat, thin, a 3 pack you get at Walmart, I think the brand is Mainstays and you can swap them out (I have 2 sets) to always have a clean cage bottom. I think they were a really good idea of Illusive's and work good with my kind of cage and I'm sure can be cut to fit any cage.

Just put a boing in Pipsqueak's cage. but so far all she is doing is looking at it. It won't take her long. I got another kind for Chirp but haven't got everything I want for his cage yet.

it sometimes takes a few weeks with birds to investigate something new for birdie furniture so to speak being placed in their living rooms / bedrooms...some other birds are right their in a flash to check out something...as always give it time... smile
