i believe in miracles too but this is one tough disease to combat...did they rule out candida disease too??? Anyway these are suggestions to you...
I recommended as I always do in any circumstances I suspect some sort of bacteria upset, to buy some acidophilus in capsules AND NOT WITH ALL SORTS OF ADDITIVES TO IT.
Just the regular capsules. Then to sprinkle a small pinch or two of the powder into the birds food every day for a week to ten days. Now the second thing I mentioned doing is...buy some baby food for infants in particular sweet potato and check different brands to make sure again it's as pure as possible or puree' your own. From there you only SLIGHTLY, and so the food is not swimming in baby food, at first only give a very light coating of the seeds with the baby food. As the bird begins to respond to this and begins to eat more. Then add a BIT more (still not swimming seeds please), of the baby or puree'd sweat potatoes. Or puree some STEAMED beets as well WITH SKIN REMOVED. Also, I suggested the diluted cilantro and anise tea. Cilantro and thyme teas are also good for other things.
(Also anti-inflammatory benefits. Shown to have antibacterial and antifungal properties is sweet potato .)(broccoli may even need to be considered here Broccoli contains an enzyme protector, sulforaphane, that supports the health of the intestinal tract of birds)
next is ALOE DETOX...also Remember also***thyme fights fungal diseases (thyme***tea ALONG WITH anise, also fights fungal issues, and bacteria.... You should start the therapy with just a small quantity and a light WEAK BREWED thyme tea...AND DO NOT offer any other form of food or drink which has a liquid to it such as leafy green veggies etc..or any other form of water. This should be the only access to liquid so the bird drinks it and use again pure bottled spring water.
http://www.vitacost.com/Lily-of-the-Desert-Aloe-Vera-80-Detoxifying-FormulaDOSAGE FOR ABOVE ON ALOE DETOX...a cap full for every 30 ounces of water. IT IS NOT CHEAP BUT NEITHER IS A VET BILL AND THIS IS CHEAPER AND CAN SAVE A LIFE. IF POSSIBLE PUT A RUSH SHIP ORDER ON THAT ALOE DETOX. EVERYONE should always have some of this ON HAND ...i keep some around just in case...
IF, you have access to some alfalfa (that has not been treated in anyway) I would say a very small amount into their seed cups once in awhile
use only pure bottled spring water or even get some pedialite...
make sure believe it or not... there is no rotting veggitation outside near your house or dead and decaying animal... as bacteria from that is very likely to enter a home as its airborne spores...so remove decaying leaves etc from all around the house...compost piles anything like that.
THESE ARE SUGGESTIONS AND I AM NOT A VET BUT THESE HAVE SOMETIMES HELPED IF STARTED EARLY...you have the choice of course to make and oh yah noooooooo egg or dairy types of food right now either. These things have always been suggested by me and have helped others IF started early enough so im not sure how your bird will respond as its been going thru a LOT for awhile now...its all worth a try tho...remember believe in miracles and the sooner you get all this the better...its system has been being compromised with natural abilities to fight also by all the antibiotics its been being given.
what do you feed right now...??? for seeds etc...that brocolli and sweet potatoe and the tea etc etc along with aloe detox can be very beneficial...all can be...starting the sooner the better...and be sure its pure bottle spring water as well not from your tap...
keep us informed...be sure everything around that cage is disefencted good and there is no chance of any kind of mold spores if possible...if the bird is in a room where there is carpeting just in case...id move it to a room with no carpets as well.
will have you in my prayers and good luck from the bottom of my heart...

AND welcome to the forum just wish it wasnt for something so serious as what your going thru at the moment and please keep us informed often...one last thing ...i can not emphasis this enough but seek out a AVIAN VET they have the most experience in disease as DVM's only have a bit of training in this stuff...they are more expensive usually than a DVM and i know your vet bill is getting outrageous at this point but as i said they AVIAN VETS are more sophisticated with their knowledge on disease.
EDITED...READ THIS ALSO AND CONSIDER GETTING SOME ORGANIC MILK THISTLE...i am only recently becomming familar with this and it also sounds like it could be very effective...for your consideration and i know it does not sound like its dealing with what your bird is going thru but i make sure its in my birds diet...something else to consider and this is all a lot i know but get some of this and make sure its always available in a food cup...is the herbal salad...as the herbs involved are allll of a medicinal nature...and birds will gravitate to what they need from it instinctively.
