lol MIKER your not annoying ..so far...giggle...j/k...well sorta giggle...anyway
when first coming home they have sooo much they have already been thru its quite a adjustment for them...put yourself always in their shoes errrrm feet...they were taken from parents...had to learn to fend somewhat for themselves to stay alive with food...then got taken from even the comfort of those surroundings and suddenly thrown in a new place noisy and a ton of other birds they have no clue who they are and anything going on then again..taken from that when they go home with a owner that has no more a clue whats going on then they do and all in just a few short weeks...you like them need to give it alllll time and not even bother then much save for changing water and giving food and cleaning their cage and no more than that for DAYS n DAYS...letting them adjust and you observe and READ all you can on them because its THEY who will teach YOU unlike what some folks think ...giggle...
so take time to read all the threads you can in here from the general parakeet chat and health and medical threads under the forums list tab from up top...and use this time to learn a few things from those...
you will find EVERY question you have has already been asked a gazillion times and answered as many times...and also read other threads not just your own that you post...
but ...dont think people in this forum are gonna tell you what YOU want to hear for the sake YOU want to hear it...they will tell you what is truth (me for one)..so you have to take that with a open mind..and expect that when you ask a question...answers are not usually going to be sugar coated because the poster asking the question wants a certain response and is unwilling to hear anything other than that...altho GOD and PDM knows how hard we try...

THEY ARE NOT LONELY ALONE...dont let your emotions about that cloud your judgement...a few colorful toys..is all they need and when your not around the radio on low for them as they hate silence as its a general sign of danger to them when things get too quite ...or if and when your hand which is like this HUGGGGGGE CLAW comes racing toward them and they think your no better than a hawk ready to grab and eat them...so always move very slowly around them even if your not sticking that CLAW inside the only place they think is safe to them and claim as their home...
remember this too when the time comes to ***hand train them and speaking of that ...this should begin with something more familar to them such as PERCH training...before HAND training...
if you dont stick a finger out...they wont be able to latch onto your skin as easily as if you offer the back of your hand for them to perch on when the time comes for that.
but all things in time with patience MUCH patience and moving SLOWLY...i urge you again to consider all this little bird has gone thru so quickly and its just a baby...
so now...what YOU show it about that BIG claw...is the basis to how much it will in time learn to trust you and want to be with you...and when a single kept bird...it learns this easier and quicker than if kept with another bird or...A MIRROR ...no MIRRORS ...lol..it will want to be with the bird in the MIRROR giggle..which will also make things very difficult for training.
