I did do a quick search about it and from what I read here n there..it's more common with larger parrots, but some budgies do it too.
Can mean happy/content or excited about something OR can be an angry warning.
I guess that's where the reading body language comes in to play again? LOL Grrrrrrrr .... purrrrrr

ok now a purr i understand cappy does that too and dont feel bad kk i cant scratch cappy either only with nose or chin...and thats when he will do that little purr sound a lot...or when i put him to bed at nite and talk to him or first thing in the morn and i talk to him when uncovering.
