illusive fantasy: First egg was laid on April 14th. I have a big cage ready for them and I'm prepared to hand feed them if necessary. If by some miracle, all of them end up hatching, I already contacted enough people to give them good homes. (But I want to keep at least 3!)

kksuns: Papa tries his best to help her. LOL! Thank goodness he isn't a deadbeat! We'll see what happens when the babies hatch though.... I've never said their names because the story behind them is a little embarrassing. hahaha.. The female is Hades and male is Lilie. Weird, right?! That's because when I first got Hades, the storekeeper randomly told me that she was a "he." And when I got Lilie, I didn't know he was a recessive pied and thought his pink cere was indicative of a female. My dad calls him "Billy" instead of Lilie, because it's just so confusing that their names are the opposite of their genders....

so have you got some sort of turtorial on hand feeding...i wouldnt go that route you would be up around the clock for days and days lol...

nice you got the extra cage too...thats a big step...and i think mama and papa will do just fine...if she laid that first one on the 14th figure more like the 16th for a count down time where she didnt sit right away...so you got a bit more time yet for a little tweeter in there...

Good news guys!! An egg hatched today! It is so adorable!!! I don't know if mom and dad are feeding it, but it is chirping quite persistently right now.

again do NOT disturb...just leave them all be....especially NOW for at least ten days which i dont believe your doing tsk tsk...then take a peek and see how many others also maybe hatching...BUT DONT TOUCH...lol ..and you can wait to take photos too till then...

Hahaha I just heard little chirps and got too curious... So I peeked into the hole and saw something wiggling around. I promise I won't peek anymore! I wouldn't touch them either....I'm scared that I might hurt them. I'm paranoid. lol

Should I put some bedding inside? I had some timothy hay in there before Hades laid any eggs, but she kind of pushed it all away.
