Has anyone seen the news story about the parakeet in Japan that escaped? He told the police his name, address and phone number and was returned to his owner! Maybe I'll try to teach Inca that!

i have taught cappy to say his name and also his street long time ago...working on him saying the town but im not so concerned about him ...flying out of town SHOULD he ever get out giggle...but im still teaching him that. Thing is when teaching a bird to talk its important to say things very clear and slowly otherwise when they learn...it will be all garble and not very clear for someone to actually understand.

the success of a return however is very slim with or without them knowing how to say this....and especially the area where you live...for instance ...i live in deep woods on a lake so if he would fly into the woods thats where he would get lost and die and nobody would see him...or some predator bird would get him first and if he flys to the lake wellll thats a quick done deal as he would never make it all the way and would land in the water and drown. Also i never travel with him...but i still have taught him to say street as you never know what circumstances will be down the road.
