It's just too cute not to share. One of my all time fav youtube vids Seeing the hummers are back from their trip south for the winter reminded me of this video. I had to find it and watch it myself again. So sweet

yes that kid did do a dern good job...i remember that vid...was really nice to watch...and yep i know my hummers are here...

how many types of hummers do you have there kk...ive only noticed 3 types here...the ruby throated the rufus and the tinest of all the bumble bee hummer...and that last one was going to my butterfly bushes lol...i couldnt believe my eyes when i saw them...so teenie and i really thought they were bees till i watched them realllllly close up...just amazing

animals around here get so confused...ducks...squirrels...chipmunks eat the bird seed and the hummer goes to butterfly bushes...i need to post eating ettiquette and directions ...because the chipmunks would also eat my strawberries so i dont plant them anymore and the birds eat my blueberries from my bushes ...like rodney dangerfield says ...i cant get NO RESPECT IM TELLING YA

They don't sound confused to me. Sounds perfectly normal.

I've seen 2 kinds of hummers. The ruby throated and the teeny tiny bumblebee ones. Yesss they really are amazing little things.So sooooo tiny.
Not sure what a rufus is, so IDK if we have em or not. Not that I know of.

hey hey ok ok so they aint... ..rufus are not that pretty a bird...but they are hummers and i love the hummers...BIG TIME...

I googled the rufous and i think they're pretty little things.
I haven't seen them here..not saying they aren't around these parts, just I haven't seen one myself.

Funny, the tiny bumblebee ones, supposedly aren't around here, but I swear I have seen them the past few years or so.
They are NOT the so called hummingbird moth-which is a moth that looks like a hummer. The moth ones have a curly like tongue thingy.
The bee hummers have a beak. It looks shorter than the ruby throat but still...a hummers beak..or whatever ya call it. bill?
Is there a difference between beak and bill I wonder??? LOL

yah bill picks up the food tab beak doesnt...lol
